Lately, with Halloween having been and gone, the witchy stereotypes are more prominent than in other times of the year. Warty noses, green skin, pointy hats and flying on broomsticks – more like the Wicked Witch of the West than your standard everyday witch; but on the otherhand, there’s also the “good” or “white” witches all dressed up like the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella.
What’s in a name? Does a name make the person we are? To quote from Romeo and Juliet “That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet”
For me today, I chose not to do a ritual but instead to enjoy a meal with some close family and to respect in thoughts Nanny and other members of my family who are no longer with us. I miss them each and every day.
What with everything that’s been going on lately, I’ve lacked almost any motivation to write. I’ve been so busy that any free time I do have, I end up spending with friends trying to relax and distract myself from the current events.
So lately, there’s been some really personal stuff going on which I won’t be going into too much detail about, but it’s made me start thinking about preparing a banishing spell.
